Silver City — Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has put the Hajj flight schedule on hold as it monitors the escalating regional situation linked to potential US and Israeli military action against Iran.
Officials confirmed that the current geopolitical climate could have a direct bearing on Hajj flight operations, and that the schedule will only be finalized once the situation becomes clearer.
Despite the pause in flight planning, visa processing for around 120,000 intending pilgrims has continued without interruption. The ministry cancelled weekend leave for its staff to keep the visa issuance process running at full speed.
Sources within the ministry say that broader Hajj preparations are advancing at a strong pace, and there is a good chance the complete Hajj schedule — including flight timings, building bookings, and room allocations — will be released before Eid al-Fitr. Once ready, all details will be accessible to pilgrims through the ministry’s official website and the Pak Hajj mobile app.
Officials also noted that the second phase of pilgrim training will kick off right after Eid al-Fitr, with training materials and a full schedule already in place.
